due Friday with a look ahead, divide with your partner!

Part 1: was due Tuesday
Assembly drawings site plan, every floor plan, sections, and
elevations plus images and description of your
precedent at three scales:
1.       site plan for scale of city …analysis geometry of site plan
2.       smaller scale
3.       larger scale

Part 2: was due Tuesday,
REFINE from class comments for next class

2D Drawings via: transparent overlays/ include grid-geometry
1. General concept of your precedent
2. Concept of Geometry with
2a. Concept of Program Assembly- provide multiple
frames to represent each level
3. Concept of Circulation - provide multiple frames to
represent each level
4. Concept of Structural assembly with
4a. Concept Enclosure
5. Concept of project base/ ground with
5a. Concept of project as action

Show grid…Through varying thicknesses or zones of lines,
grid, and figures produce (transparent)
overlays which represent the following concepts through the plans and sections of the project.

The best examples were: Alex’s group…though
missing grid and too small  and
Rebecca’s …though too large and layers
can be combined per the above.

Part 3: was due Tuesday, refine or complete!
3D models:
1. General concept of your precedent
2. Concept of Geometry with
2a. Concept of Program Assembly- provide multiple
frames to represent each level
3. Concept of Circulation - provide multiple frames to
represent each level
4. Concept of Structural assembly with
4a. Concept Enclosure
5. Concept of project base/ ground with
5a. Concept of project as action

The best examples were: Alex’s group… structure
needs to be rebuilt for what it is,
circulation needs to combine the stair movement
and the open space shape, and concept model
needs to be to scale and relative to the plan cut out assembly.

Part 4: new work for Friday
3D Axons Drawings to match models above:
1. General concept of your precedent
2. Concept of Geometry with
2a. Concept of Program Assembly- provide multiple
frames to represent each level
3. Concept of Circulation - provide multiple frames to
represent each level
4. Concept of Structural assembly with
4a. Concept Enclosure
5. Concept of project base/ ground with
5a. Concept of project as action
With two perspectives that are significant to the concept

Program model should be made out of solid pieces
assembled relative to structure
as discussed with Michael and Scott.

Part 5: Next week at large scale…to be further
discussed Friday.

Drawing, diagrams alla Richard Meier:
1.       geometry
2.       structure
3.       circulation
4.       enclose

Scott had these drawn last class but without the grid.

Drawings: redraw the main plans and sections; provide
an exploded axon of the project- ink on velum with overlay of the main concept lines.

Final Model: build a final model of the project at
the large scale to match the drawings
listed above, you should have copies of this class as listed in Part 1 for Friday.

Leeann:
I recommend you start with building circulation
literally at the larger scale so we
can see the detail of it. Also, your project has the
concept of material as light.
Everyone can think about just adding a material board to there presentation.

Adrian and Michael:
I recommended you built the structure and the detail
of how the pieces attach to it.

The rest of you need to catch up and work! Grades
are depressing .... to follow.
I applaud Alex, Richard, Rebecca, Adrian: for there
hard work -consistent drawings and
models for the last project;
Alex and Adrian – please bring in your models and drawings to pinup in hall as part of the d1 exhibit.

Please confirm you read this by commenting--even if its just  to say read.

  4. Rebekkah/ Rick: Thank you reading and posting, is the work outline clear? I think so, print it our and check off as you complete

  5. Mostly it is all clear to me, however can you post the image that you had used as an example in class on tuesday for the 3D axons.
